Outpatient Services
Great Lakes Recovery Centers (GLRC) has multiple outpatient clinics across the Upper Peninsula. Outpatient services are an opportunity for you to walk through the assessment process with a trained clinician to determine the treatment that is relevant for you. This may include any combination of individual and group therapy as well as referral to detox services or residential treatment.
For a comprehensive list of services available at GLRC, please visit the Clinical Services Page.

Group Services
A variety of group therapy sessions are held weekly at many GLRC Outpatient Services Locations. The groups provide a non-judgmental setting for individuals struggling with a substance use disorder. GLRC also facilitates AA and NA meetings at many of our outpatient offices.
Peer Recovery
Peer Recovery coaching is a peer-based addiction and dependency recovery support service. It is non-clinical and can be implemented concurrently with professional services. Peer interventions have been shown to improve engagement and retention of people seeking services and are effective in reducing incidents of return to use.
Peer recovery coaches are available to meet free of charge in public or at the peer recovery drop-in locations at various outpatient offices.
Women and Family Services
Women and Family Services provide specialized case management by a certified Women and Family Specialist to clients in Marquette and Chippewa Counties.
This case management program addresses housing, legal issues, financial, education, medical referrals and parenting skills. Funds are available to help with needed expenses including diapers and other essentials, as well as gas cards in some cases.
Veterans Services
Great Lakes Recovery Centers provides readjustment counseling services and weekly support based out of the Negaunee Integrated Care Clinic and the Marquette Outpatient Services clinic for veterans in Marquette County.
GLRC also works closely with the VA to provide homeless veterans with a place to stay. Because homeless veterans suffer from substance use and mental health disorders at such a high rate, our program currently provides space for them in our residential service programs so that they get access to shelter as well as services that they might need.
Our hope is that in the future, we can provide veterans with a recovery residence where they can exercise greater freedom and self sufficiency, while still living in a more structured environment to help avoid relapses.
Medical Services
Medical programs are staffed by physicians and nurse practitioners who can provide medication assisted treatment along with treatment for health conditions, preventative care, education on health topics and minor office procedures.
