Ten16 Recovery Network is a non-profit organization serving Central Michigan since 1979, offering a range of addiction treatment and recovery support services. Their recovery housing program provides sober living environments designed to support individuals in maintaining long-term sobriety.
Recovery Housing Facilities:
• Eastman House: Located near downtown Midland, Michigan, this facility accommodates up to 14 men.
• Haley House: Situated near Midland’s Community Center, this house provides space for 7 women.
Program Features:
• Supportive Environment: Residents live in a community with peers who share a commitment to sobriety, fostering mutual support and accountability.
• Shared Leadership: Each house is managed collaboratively by Ten16 staff and residents. A Recovery Coach offers individual and group support, while a resident House Manager provides daily in-home leadership.
• Substance-Free Living: Ten16 enforces a zero-tolerance policy for drug and alcohol use. Residents agree to random testing and must not be on controlled substances, including prescribed medications.
• Active Recovery Participation: Residents are required to engage actively in a 12-Step or alternative recovery program and attend outpatient counseling with Ten16 staff. Both houses are conveniently located near several 12-Step meetings.
• Communal Decision-Making: Current residents participate in approving new applicants and other house decisions, promoting a sense of ownership and responsibility.
Application Process:
• Application Submission: Prospective residents can download and complete the application form available on Ten16’s website.
• Interview: After submitting the application, the House Manager will conduct an interview to assess suitability for the recovery housing program.
• Approval and Move-In: Upon approval, staff will coordinate a move-in date with the applicant.
Additional Information:
• Duration of Stay: Residents can stay in recovery housing for up to two years.
• Capacity: Eastman House accommodates 14 men, while Haley House has space for 7 women.
• Financial Considerations: For residents covered by Medicaid or the Healthy Michigan Plan, state funding may cover housing costs for the first 90 days. After this period, weekly rent is $125, with no security deposit required.
